• Terry Gipson Leads Effort in Protecting Child Abuse Victims
Poughkeepsie, NY: State Senate Candidate Terry Gipson (D) has earned the endorsement of a newly formed Political Action Committee (PAC) that aims to protect children from child sexual abuse. The PAC was founded by a former victim who was angered by the New York State Senate Republicans’ refusal to support a bill to protect children in New York State this legislative session.
The Child Victims Act would eliminate statutes of limitations on child sexual abuse. Laws that protect predators ensuring they stay on the streets able to abuse more children.
“Today, Fighting for Children PAC endorsed Terry Gipson for NY Senate in the 41st district. Terry will be a tireless advocate for protecting children from child sexual abuse. Terry wants predators off the streets, ensuring New York’s kids are safe. Terry is just the kind of independent leader the 41st Senate District needs. Survivors and victims will do everything possible to see Terry Gipson in the New York State Senate,” stated Gary A. Greenberg, who launched the Fighting for Children PAC.
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Fighting for Children PAC. I was extremely disheartened when the Senate Republicans and my opponent prevented a vote on the Child Victims Act,” said Terry Gipson, Candidate for New York State Senate District 41. “We need leaders that are willing to stand up and fight for our families and children in the Hudson Valley. That’s why I’m running for the State Senate.”
